Anne DeSeta DarConte is Principal of Beyond K Street, a public affairs firm specializing in issue advocacy campaigns. She is also a co-founder of ConneXcellence and its 2013 Professional Women in Advocacy Conference, a one-of-a-kind Washington, D.C.-based conference for hundreds of professionals from across the U.S. focused on advocacy, issues, public affairs, and professional development.
She has more than 25 years of federal, state, and local government relations and public affairs experience for associations and corporations. Anne is highly respected for her ability to develop and implement strategic solutions across a broad array of policy subject matters.
Areas of expertise include legislative and grassroots advocacy, regulatory oversight, public policy and legislative analysis, issue campaign management, and the interface of federal, state and local government and community relations. Anne applies these specialties to client needs for coalition development, relationship cultivation, program messaging, community outreach programs (activist recruitment, training and activation), project and budget management, research, writing, public speaking, and event planning.
Anne serves on the Boards of Directors of Women In Government Relations (WGR) and the American Resources Policy Network. She is co-founder of the MeetUp.com DC Grassroots group, and is often called upon to speak at industry and leadership events.
Anne received a B.A. in Political Science from Goucher College, Towson, MD, and did her graduate studies in Public Administration at Florida State University, Tallahassee, FL.
