Lisa Shalett is a partner at Goldman Sachs, and the Head of Brand Marketing and Digital Strategy, responsible for the firm's corporate brand, including advertising, goldmansachs.com (the firm's external website), social media, search, proprietary brand research, and marketing for recruitment and for corporate engagement programs such as 10,000 Women and 10,000 Small Businesses.    Lisa has been at Goldman Sachs 18 years, and has had a very diverse career.  A Japanese speaker, Lisa joined Goldman Sachs in 1995 as a Japanese Equities Salesperson, and spent her first 11 years at the firm in the Securities Division, in New York and in Tokyo, most recently as Head of International Equities.  While in the Securities Division, she became a partner in 2002.  In 2006 she took on the role of chief operating officer of Global Compliance, and in 2008 her COO responsibilities were expanded to include the Legal Department and Internal Audit.  She assumed her current role in the Executive Office in April 2010, as Wall Street was facing significant scrutiny and criticism amidst the financial crisis.   Before joining Goldman Sachs, Lisa worked at the Fuji Television Network in Japan, where she helped produce Japanese game shows and a home shopping show, and the Bertelsmann Music Group in New York.   Both inside and outside Goldman Sachs, Lisa is committed to leadership development, diversity, and mentoring.  She serves on the Steering Committees of the Kellogg Center for Executive Women and the Women in Media Mentoring Initiative, is a Mentor for W.O.M.E.N. in America, which is focused on developing emerging women leaders, and has participated in the Fortune Most Powerful Women Summit.   Lisa earned an MBA from Harvard Business School, and a BA in East Asian Studies, summa cum laude, from Harvard University.
